Martin has extensive work experience in senior railway
engineering management roles with a range of companies, including
Bombardier Transportation. He is passionate about providing innovative
and cost-effective engineering solutions to the rail industry.
Martin’s vision is to take ESG to the next stage of
its development within the rail industry. The business has earned a
reputation for developing innovative solutions for its clients within
the UK, and now in Europe. With expansion into mainland Europe,
Martin’s strategy is to lead ESG from being a UK success story, to an
established, dynamic and respected railway engineering consultancy
across Europe.

Paul Tice, Head of Engineering and Projects
Paul is a Chartered Electrical Engineer with 20 years
experience in Traction & Rolling Stock engineering. He has a wealth
of in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with a wide variety of
rail vehicle systems such as TPWS/AWS, Data Recorders, DRA, Vigilance,
TCA, CCTV, Passenger Information Systems and Energy Consumption
Monitoring.
Prior to joining ESG Paul was responsible for the
delivery of major refurbishment and equipment installation contracts at
DeltaRail. Before this, he held responsible for the management and
leadership of the Traction & Rolling Stock Electrical Engineering
team within AEA Technology Rail/DeltaRail. As a Lead Electrical Design
Engineer he has successfully delivered key elements of major rail
projects such as the replacement of electrical systems with modern
equivalents on South West Trains Class 455 EMUs and the implementation
of train safety systems for new build contracts on behalf of Bombardier
Transportation.

Jerome Robin, Commercial Director, Mainland Europe
Jerome joined ESG from Alstom Transport Headquarters
in Paris where he held various posts in marketing, business
development and tender management for the passenger and freight
business in Southern Europe and the UK. He obtained a Master's Degree
in Business Administration at the Paris Business School (ESCP) in 2002.
Before this he developed considerable experience in engineering and
product development with railway traction equipment for EMUs in the UK
and in Scandinavia.
Jerome is passionate about developing new businesses and building the best cost-effective solutions for customers.
Jerome worked for 11 years in different countries and Alstom departments until he was invited to join ESG / RAL in 2007.
Jerome says ‘’The cross-border business is a great
opportunity for ESG / RAL to build on and to provide a service with
added value to our customers and to expand our current European
customer portfolio. The extensive experience and knowledge of our
engineers on braking and safety system standards and approvals
management are key components in satisfying our customers and
developing new solutions".
