Since the formation of ESG, our power equipment section has
undertaken a wide range of tasks on both passenger and freight vehicles
along with a few ‘specialist vehicles’ in the areas of engines, engine
control and ancillary equipment. Activities undertaken to date range
from:
- Oil spectrographic analysis
- Approval testing of power units and components
- Catastrophic failure investigations
- Engine performance monitoring
- Emissions monitoring
- Engine/ engine control system modifications
- Engine maintenance/ overhaulers auditing
In addition ESG’s power equipment engineers have
worked in conjunction with vehicle operators and overhaulers in
providing complete maintenance/ overhaul guidance of complete power
units or specific components in order to ensure the greatest longevity
of vehicle whilst minimising vehicle downtime.
As part of the continued development of ESG, our
power equipment section has been involved in the development of
replacement components designed by our engineers to improve the
reliability and performance of vehicles over the standard replacement
parts.
