Vehicle modifications and light refresh

ESG delivers the full range of design and engineering services for vehicle upgrade requirements. From minor interior enhancements to full reconfiguration of passenger seating and facilities layouts.  We undertake the full concept and detailed design process managed under our established quality system to ensure all aspects of safety and performance compliance is achieved in line with the agreed client requirements.

System Integration and upgrade

ESG uses its broad knowledge of onboard systems and emerging innovations to provide its client with a comprehensive service for the upgrade and replacement of safety and operational based vehicle systems. We can provide full technical designs and approvals packages for both the introduction of new systems onto vehicles such as CCTV,PIS and WiFI  and also modifications and  upgrades for  all major existing  trainbourne systems. ESG can also provide the manufacturing, testing and installation elements for the trial and fleet rollout phases of upgrade programmes using its sister company and associate company facilities.

Trial, Proto-typing and mock up services

ESG can provide a full range of services to facilitate the development phase of client projects by the management and production of trial, prototype and mock up projects. Using our network of associate companies we can prepare representative prototypes and mock ups of vehicle layouts and equipment installations. We also provide a full trial and first of class installation service to allow clients to fully assess their proposed solutions prior to any commitment to full fleet rollout programmes.

Specialist tools and equipment

Using ESGs experience gained as part of an Rail Operations Group (DB)  we can design, approve, manufacture and supply clients specialist tool and equipment requirements. We have experience in operational specialist equipment including emergency/adaptor couplers through to production tooling such as door removal jigs and profile gauges.
